You can take Spanish classes at our language school for as little as $7 per hour. Trujillo itself is an inexpensive City. Taxis generally cost $1.50 around the City and for the same price you can find a hot lunch. The cost of living is considerably less than cities such as Lima and Cusco , where international tourism has pushed up prices.

Trujillo has a small but growing tourist industry. 10 years ago there were about 5000 foreign visitors per year and last year was approximately 30,000. You will find that English is rarely spoken around the City, other than by some of the many local students. (Trujillo has 5 universities) This ensures that students of Spanish can really immerse themselves in the local language.
