Trujillo

Trujillo is known as the City of Eternal Spring for its sunny and pleasant weather all year round. Throughout the year we enjoy temperatures in the low to mid twenties.

Founded in 1534 the beautiful colonial city of Trujillo is still home to lovely churches and private mansions. As a modern vibrant city with five universities, it has a thriving nightlife with cinemas, live music, clubs, bars and theatres.

Trujillo is a great place to learn Spanish. A hidden gem on the coast of Peru, Trujillo is not inundated with tourists like other destinations. You will benefit from living and studying in an authentic Peruvian city with lots of opportunities to interact with local Spanish speakers.

On the outskirts of Trujillo lies the fishing village and beach resort of Huanchaco. Famous for being a surfer’s paradise, this is a great place to relax with a sandy beach that runs for miles and numerous seafood restaurants and bars overlooking the beach.

To the west of Trujillo lies the Unesco world heritage site of Chan Chan, which was constructed in 850AD by the Chimu civilisation. This vast Adobe city was the largest Pre-Columbian South American urban center before the arrival of Europeans. The area also boasts the huge sacred pyramids of Huaca del Sol and Huaca de la Luna.
